APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – No one was hurt after an Appleton home caught fire Sunday night.
Fire crews were called to a home on Green Bay Road around 6 p.m. When they arrived, everyone at the house was already evacuated.
The residents used the fire extinguisher before officials arrived.
Crews ventilated smoke out of the home as well as extinguisher residue. Damage in the house was confined to a space heater and smoke damage to part of the second floor.
The cause of the fire is related to the space heater, but an exact cause is still being investigated.
