LITTLE CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Little Chute park will be closed to the public for about a week for deer culling.
From Dec. 13 through Dec. 19, only approved hunters with a village permit are allowed in Heesakker Park.
For safety, members of the public are asked to use the Mill Street Bridge and Island Park to walk the the Heritage Parkway Trail along the water, as well as get to the Nelson Family Heritage Crossing boardwalk that will remain open during the deer culling period.
The pedestrian bridge from Island Park leading to Heesakker Park will also be closed during the deer culling dates.
