“There is a nation-wide tree shortage for the real trees, we’ve had both last year and this year both banner years,” said Yeska. “People coming out to cut their trees as a family and really begin some nice new traditions.”

Friday’s numbers outpaced 2020’s opening numbers by 35%.

“We do have some of our fields closed off this year just because we want to be able to offer those people the tall trees that they’re looking for,” said Yeska. “So every year it’s a little bit of a game to decide which fields to keep open and which fields we send them to.”
Sending people like the Cash’s, who were out getting their tree for the season.
The weather making for the perfect back drop to what’s turned into an annual activity.
