GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — It’s not COVID toe.
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers fired back at rumors that his toe injury was a symptom of his recent coronavirus infection. During Wednesday’s video chat with reporters, Rodgers even lifted his bare foot to the camera while explaining that his toe was fractured.
Rodgers said he suffered the injury while working out during his quarantine.
The quarterback said he will play in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, the Packers’ last game before their bye week. Rodgers said he can play as long as he can manage the pain, but he may have surgery during the bye week.
According to WebMD, some people with COVID-19 develop swelling and discoloration of their toes, which can be accompanied by blisters, itching or pain. It’s not known exactly what causes the condition.
