GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A former candidate for Outagamie County sheriff has been sentenced for his latest child pornography possession offense.
Alex Bebris, 52, of Denmark, was sentenced to an additional ten years in prison.
Federal prosecutors say they found child porn during a search of his home in August.
Bebris was sentenced last year to five years in prison on a previous child pornography conviction. He was allowed to remain free while he appealed. In July, his appeal was rejected and he was ordered to report to prison.
Bebris is required to serve his 10-year sentence after finishing his five-year term in the previous case.
Bebris lost the 2018 Republican primary election for Outagamie County sheriff to eventual winner Clint Kriewaldt. Bebris previously served as public safety chief in Oakwood, Ohio.
