NEW LONDON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Construction is underway for a “Training and Resource Center” at the “Bart and Cherry Starr Museum.”
On Friday, the wife of the late Packers quarterback attended a groundbreaking ceremony in New London with Rawhide Youth Services for the building hope capital campaign.
“It’s been the best thing that ever happened to Bart and me here, to be apart of something we can give back, to a wonderful stay and community and to boys that need our help so much. Thank you so much for being so supportive,” said Cherry Starr, Bart’s wife.
The Starr family has been involved with Rawhide since 1965.
Bart Starr even raffled off his Super Bowl II MVP Corvette to complete the down payment to purchase Rawhide’s New London campus.
