DE PERE, WI (WTAQ) — We’re still waiting to hear more from police about the attack on a woman in broad daylight on the East River Trail in De Pere.
De Pere Mayor James Boyd says police are hard at work on the case.
“What I know is that the police are throwing everything they have at this,” Boyd told WTAQ on. “In order to come to a conclusion.”
Police say they intend to update the public when they have new information.
“Everyone is letting the police work through the investigation,” said Boyd. “Giving the victim and their family the time they need and the privacy they need during this difficult time.”
The woman was attacked on Tuesday while walking on the trail with her infant child by someone she did not know.
The nature of the assault nor the status of the victim hasn’t been released.
