ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) — Area sports bars are getting ready for what is set to be a big night: game six of the NBA finals is Tuesday night, and the Milwaukee Bucks have a chance to win it all.
The Bucks are ahead in the best-of-seven series three games to two and Amanda Watson with Stadium View hopes that her establishment will hear the wild cheers of victory Tuesday night.
“We’re really excited about it,” Watson told WTAQ. “We thought [the Bucks] were getting close a couple of years ago, but to see it go this far has really been exciting.”
The championship run has packed people into Watson’s bar every game night.
“We have around 75 TVs here, so we’re expecting to pack the house,” she said Monday.
The run is injecting hope and excitement in an industry that suffered mightily under COVID-19 lockdowns.
“We had just a crazy, rough year with COVID,” Watson said. “I feel like this is just taking it to the next level of ‘anyone can get through anything’. We’re excited to bring everyone together.”
Tuesday’s tip-off is at 8:00 pm. You can catch the action on our sister station, 1440 and 101.9 WNFL.
