FOX CROSSING, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Construction is now underway at the new Neenah High School.
Officials held a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday afternoon.
The site is located along Winchester Road, just west of Interstate 41 in the village of Fox Crossing.
Voters approved the nearly $115 million project in a referendum last year.
Neenah’s current high school will be converted into an intermediate school for grades 5-8.
“It’s been a wonderful journey to get here, and now this is a celebration of our entire community. So we’re really happy,” said Dr. Mary Pfeiffer, Neenah Joint School District superintendent.
