(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – Just prior to the start of spring training, the Milwaukee Brewers signed former Tampa Bay Rays’ top prospect Daniel Robertson.
Robertson who has a career .234 batting average in four seasons in the majors was originally drafted by Oakland as a shortstop.
As for where he’ll play with the Brewers, Robertson said he has played some in the outfield.
He sees a number of opportunities for playing time with the Brewers.
Robertson who played with San Francisco last season had his best season in 2018 when he appeared in 87 games for the Rays, hit .262, had 9 home runs and drove in 43.
There is some thought that Robertson will end up platooning at third base with recently re-signed former Brewers player Travis Shaw.
