(METRO/LEARFIELD) – The Wisconsin Badgers split their two-game series with Penn State, after defeating the Nittany Lions 72-56 in Madison.
The Badgers fell to PSU 81-71 in University Park on Saturday.
Jonathan Davis led the Badgers with 17 points while Brad Davison chipped in with 13.
Badgers coach Greg Gard discussed how Davis stepped up.
Nate Reuvers scored 9 points and joined the 1,000-point club for Wisconsin in their victory over Penn State.
Gard said his team’s play was much improved after Saturday’s loss to Penn State.
Badgers guard Trevor Anderson said Wisconsin was better defensively.
Wisconsin is 14-and-5 on the season.
