VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL. (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Florida sheriff has released the name of the man who allegedly drove the wrong way on an interstate highway, killing a brother and sister from Omro and injuring two of their relatives.
The alleged wrong-way driver, Reginald Lamar Harris, 47, was also killed in the crash. Authorities said he was a suspect in a carjacking who was fleeing from police when the crash occurred. Sheriff Mike Chitwood said Harris’ driver’s license had been revoked since 2000.
Domynick Milis, 21, and Danycka Milis, 18, died in the head-on crash Dec. 29. Their younger brother, Drake, and a cousin, Kyley Larsen, were also hospitalized following the crash.
Authorities said the family was on their way home from seeing a Christmas light display.
An online fundraiser to help the Milis family had raised more than $122,000 of its $135,000 goal as of midday Monday.
