FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Fond du Lac schools will move forward with blended learning.
That means all students, kindergarten through 12th grade, will be in school at least two days a week and will have virtual learning the other three days.
Some parents say they are happy with the blended model, while others say it will hurt their kids academically.
“Our elementary aged-children are going to struggle academically,” said one parent. “It will take them two in-person days to adjust to face-to-face learning retaining little to no information provided to them in those two days.”
“Like most families when we went into crisis virtual learning this spring, it was very hard on our family,” said another parent. “Although I understand and emphasize that this won’t be easy in any way, schools will continue to support our families as they always have.”
The board did strike down a motion that would have had students up through 5th grade attending full time as long as Fond du Lac County stays in Phase Two or better.
