Late night host Jimmy Kimmel has become known for his leftist politics.
Kimmel is ‘woke,’ as they say. He’s certainly quick to lecture anyone who does something he perceives as not being ‘politically correct.’
But it seems that Jimmy Kimmel isn’t willing to hold himself to the same standard he applies to others.
It’s recently resurfaced that Kimmel repeatedly used the n-word during a recorded ‘comedy bit.’ That in addition to Kimmel having worn blackface for television skits.
If someone Kimmel dislikes politically did these things, Kimmel would voice outrage. He’d be calling for that person to be fired from their job and have their entire life upended.
But now that Kimmel has been caught making these bigoted comments and engaging in these bigoted actions, he’s trying to shrug it off like it’s no big deal.
Yesterday, Kimmel issued a non-apology, where he made the delusional claim that he’s the decent person and the people who disagree with his politics are the racists.
Again, it’s Kimmel who was doing these things. Kimmel’s the one who proudly put on blackface. Most of the people in this country who disagree with Kimmel’s political views assuredly have not put on blackface. Yet, Kimmel’s trying to pass the buck.
Instead of owning his appalling behavior, Kimmel is trying to deflect the attention elsewhere. Shame on him for what he’s done and for the way he’s handling matters.
And many on the left are seemingly giving Kimmel a pass, even though they attack people on the other side of the political spectrum for doing the same things or for doing something less serious, for that matter.
This is a prime example of this two-tiered justice system that has formed both inside and outside of the courtroom in the United States. It cannot be tolerated. All U.S. citizens must be held to the same standards.
While many conservatives don’t believe that Kimmel should be ‘canceled,’ since we don’t believe in the ‘cancel culture,’ Kimmel by his own standards should be canceled.
