GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The trial in a lawsuit between a former Green Bay alderman and former mayor is now scheduled for June 15, 2021.
Former Ald. Guy Zima filed a civil defamation suit against former Mayor Jim Schmitt, alleging emails and comments by Schmitt damaged his reputation.
A scheduling conference was held Monday via video conferencing, due to the court’s rules about social distancing. A three-day trial is planned.
Door County Judge David Weber is hearing the case, but the trial will be held at the Brown County Courthouse.
