BELLEVUE, WI (WTAQ) – A large water main break caused the evacuation of the Bellevue Retirement community Sunday evening.
At about 4:12 p.m., the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, along with multiple fire departments and first responders, were called to the nursing home on Hoffmann Road, and found leaking water.
Fire officials say water leaked in to the building on the first floor from underground.
First responders also found structural stability issues on the second and third floors above the break.
157 residents were evacuated and taken to other facilities.
The damage is being evaluated.
