GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – JBS Green Bay kicked off the company’s “Giving Week” by donating food and supplies to various frontline workers.
Last week, JBS donated more than 14,000 pounds of ground beef, more than 100 ribeye roasts and $15,000 to various organizations within the community.
Donations of beef were made to the House of Hope, Paul’s Pantry, Freedom House, Manna For Life Ministries, the New Community Shelter, St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter, Oneida Food Pantry, Green Bay Salvation Army and Feeding America.
As a thank you to first responders in the area, JBS provided ribeye roasts to the Green Bay Police Department and the Green Bay Fire Department. The team also provided ribeye roasts to two local nursing homes to feed their residents and staff.
Monetary donations were made to the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, for the Emergency Response Fund providing support during the COVID-19 crisis, and to the American Red Cross of Green Bay.
JBS also thanked its own employees with hand sanitizer and rolls of toilet paper, along with some ideas on how they could get involved in “Giving Week.
