DOOR COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 76-year-old man has died Saturday night after a crash left him pinned underneath the vehicle.
The fatal crash occurred at the victims residence on Wisconsin Bay Road in the town of Liberty Grove at approximately 7:13 p.m.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene when medical personnel were the first to arrive.
According to the Door County Sheriff’s Office, the initial investigation showed that the driver lost control of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo when trying to back out of a steep driveway.
The driver appeared to have gotten out of the vehicle while it was still moving after having lost control, he was pinned under the vehicle in the process.
The victim’s name is not being released at this time, pending the notification of family.
Officials say the incident is still under investigation.
