HOWARD, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Residents of Cardinal Ridge Residential Care got a warm Mother’s Day welcome from friends and family of residents.
Administrators told them that they could drive their cars by the home, and honk their horns Sunday.
They held signs, wishing them “Happy Mother’s Day,” too.
The residents sat on the front porch of the of the nursing home, some also holding signs, and saw them go by.
Administrators thought it was very successful.
“They loved seeing their families drive by, the honking horns, the beeping, the yelling ‘I love you, grandma,’ or ‘great-grandma,’ or ‘mom,’ yeah, it was wonderful,” said Karen Bain, Cardinal Ridge Residential Care administrator.
Administrators estimate between 40 and 50 cars participated.
