MADISON, WI (Wiscoinsin Radio Network) – UW System leaders are having to take a hard look at how they operate – and make some rapid decisions.
President Ray Cross is said to be focusing on three areas for savings – evaluating academic programs and deciding which ones to save, consolidating and streamlining administrative operations, and increasing online class offerings. U-W Board of Regents President has said layoffs are inevitable.
All campuses are expected to scale down their course catalogs by the fall 2021 semester.
