GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Bellin Health is the latest health system to restart procedures and non-urgent appointments during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Early on, we chose to postpone all non-urgent appointments to prepare for a surge of COVID-19 patients,” Bellin Health president and CEO Chris Woleske said in a news release. “Now, with better information about the virus and the modest number of hospitalizations in our region, we are able to welcome back all of our patients for the services they need to improve and maintain their health and wellbeing.”
Bellin says it is taking steps to ensure safety at its hospitals and clinics. Those include enhanced cleaning, notices about physical distancing, policies on mask-wearing and keeping confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients separate from other patients. Bellin also offers virtual visits.
Other area health systems, including Prevea/HSHS and Aurora, have also announced reopening plans.
