MADISON, WI (WSAU) — A three-phase plan has been released by the state as a guide to re-opening Wisconsin.
The “Badger Bounce Back Plan” is a series of steps that Governor Evers and his administration plan to take to help re-open the state and bolster the economy safely. According to a release, the plan was developed in part alongside President Trump’s Guidelines for Opening Up America.
The release says Wisconsin does not currently meet the guidelines to reopen yet into Phase One but Badger Bounce Back is a way to get there. The first step in the plan is to implement a larger array and availability of COVID-19 tests across the state.
After that step, the plan would work to aggressively track people who have tested positive for COVID-19, as well as others they have come in contact with, to reduce exposure time to the virus by identifying cases and enforcing quarantine when necessary.
Metrics will be applied on a statewide basis as the virus can easily spread from region to region, regardless of current numbers. The full plan can be found here.
