WRIGHTSTOWN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Despite schools closing for the rest of the year, Wrightstown High School found a way to still celebrate junior prom.
A couple of teachers at the school put together “Porch Prom.”
Students interested in taking part signed up with their name and address. Then they got dressed up, and one of the teachers drove up and took prom pictures on their porch.
“Well it kind of stinks not having our actual prom, but like I know I have my friends, so once this is all over I guess we can all get together and do something,” said Lainey Durocher, a junior at Wrighstown.
“I’m just happy to be able to do something,” said Jacob Dyce, a junior at Wrightstown. “So, it’s a tough situation, but it’s still better than the alternative of just doing absolutely nothing.”
D & G Restaurant then followed up and provided a free prom night dinner to each junior who participated.
