APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – Jake Woodford has been named as Appleton’s first new mayor in 24 years. Woodford takes over for Tim Hanna, the city’s longest-serving mayor, who first took office in 1996. Hanna also endorsed Woodford in late March.
Woodford defeated former councilman Jim Clemons for the seat 56%-44%.
Woodford is a 4th generation Appleton resident, who previously worked as an assistant to the president at Lawrence University.
