MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — State health officials have confirmed that the number of positive COVID-19 infections in the state has passed the 3,200 mark.
The state counted 3,213 cases on Saturday. There have been 137 deaths related to the virus. Around 30% of cases, or 950, have been hospitalized.
Negative tests were counted at 34,680 on Saturday.
The numbers represent a 145 case uptick over Friday. Milwaukee county remains the center of the state’s outbreak, with 1,653 total cases.
Brown County had 58 cases Saturday, not counting the cases brought in from out-of-county or in the Oneida nation. There are 29 cases in Outagamie County.
