BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Five more people in Brown County have tested positive for COVID-19, the illness caused by the new coronavirus.
Brown County health officials say the number of confirmed cases is now up to 17, with two of those being in the Oneida Nation. The number was 12 on Wednesday.
The five new cases are that of a 65-year-old woman who had recently traveled internationally, 36-year-old woman who works in healthcare, as well as a 32-year-old, 43-year-old and 22-year-old, all males.
The 36-year-old healthcare worker works in an administrative role and had no known contact with patients.
The latest statewide tally showed 1,550 confirmed cases in Wisconsin.
