APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) – The Appleton City Clerk’s office is being swamped with requests for absentee ballots and voting information ahead of Tuesday’s spring election. Additional city staff has been brought in to process the ballots and send them out as quickly as possible.
The city is also preparing plans to make voting sites as safe as possible amid the COVID-19 pandemic. That includes social distancing measures, single use pens for all voters, having disposable gloves available for voters to use and frequent cleaning of machines.
