OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Oshkosh firefighters are asking residents not to flush sanitizing wipes down the toilet – even if they say “flushable.”
They say even the flushable ones do not break down in the sewer system and attract grease and other debris leading to blockages.
Residents should dispose of them in the trash.
The warning comes after Oshkosh says the city of Janesville has been dealing with this issue during the COVID-19 pandemic.
