MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The state is banning mass gatherings of 50 or more people to slow the spread of the new coronavirus.
Gov. Tony Evers made the announcement Monday via Twitter.
Services such as grocery stores, food pantries, child care centers, pharmacies and hospitals will be exempt from the order.
Evers said he will release more details at a 1:30 p.m. news conference.
