GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The New Community Shelter in Green Bay has implemented its Emergency Preparedness Plan effective immediately regarding its Emergency Shelter and Community Meal Programs.
The shelter will focus on the health and safety of their current residents, staff, volunteers, and donors.
The shelter will not be accepting donations or food items at this time.
The New Community Meal Program will continue, however they will be serving Meals To-Go instead of opening their dining room to the public starting today (Monday).
Community Meal participants will be able to get a Meal-To-Go nightly during the week and twice a day on weekends.
Those who are not able to visit the shelter can request a packaged food box.
Current volunteer groups who provide and serve meals are being suspended.
