GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Some area schools say they will be closing earlier than what Gov. Tony Evers’ mandated statewide closure requires.
Appleton Area School District
- Closing Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18, going to distance learning from March 19 – April 3. Spring break from April 6-10.
Ashwaubenon School District
- Closing March 18 until Monday, April 13
Green Bay Public School District
- Closing following Spring Break, March 18
Hortonville Schools
- Closing Tuesday, March 17, until further notice
Howard-Suamico School District
- Closing March 18 until at least April 13
Kaukauna Area School District
- Closing Monday, March 16 until Monday, April 13
North Fond du Lac School District and St. Paul’s Lutheran
- Closed Friday, March 13 through Monday, April 13. Students in K-12 will participate in remote learning starting on Thursday, March 19
Oshkosh Area School District
- Closing Monday, March 16, until further notice
The governor ordered a statewide closure of all public and private K-12 schools Friday in response to the coronavirus. It requires schools to close between March 18 through April 6.
The Oshksosh Area School District says its decision comes after careful evaluation of current conditions impacting the district including the proximity to confirmed COVID-19 cases in Fond du Lac County.
