SUAMICO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A man who drove his vehicle out on the ice on the Bay of Green Bay became stranded after his car went through the ice.
On Saturday morning just after 7:00 a.m. Suamico Fire Deparment and Brown County Sheriff’s responded to a male who was stranded near Longtail Beach, officials say.
Suamico Fire Department says the male walked away from the incident as a Rapid Deployment Craft was used by the Department to rescue the man.
The male was treated on scene.
Suamico Fire reminds the public that with the fluctuating temperatures ice safety is even more important and to always carry a cellphone.
