OUTAGAMIE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – The Outagamie County Public Health Division holds immunization clinics throughout the flu season – but they are announcing a few extra times for people who may not usually have access to them.
The clinics will provide vaccines to children at no cost – if they meet a certain set of guidelines.
“For example: If they’re on BadgerCare, if they don’t have insurance, or if their insurance doesn’t cover vaccines,” says Korina Aghmar, a nurse with the Outagamie County Public Health Division.
It also covers those of Native American or Alaskan native backgrounds.
These clinics will be held at the Outagamie Public Health building at 320 S. Walnut Street in Appleton on March 11th and April 8th from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., but if you’re unable to make those times, appointments can be made.
“We also try to remain accessible to clients, so if those times don’t work when someone calls or walks in, then we can work around their schedules,” Aghmar tells WTAQ News.
Parents or legal guardians must accompany children under 18 – and bring immunization records. You can schedule an appointment by calling (920) 832-5100.
