SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ) — The names of the two people killed in a Wednesday accident on South Airport Drive and East Richmond Street in Shawano have been released.
The operator of the car is identified as Orville O. Jacobs, 76, and his passenger, Judith A. Jacobs, 73, both of Shawano. Both were killed in the crash.
The operator of the pickup truck is identified as Edith M. Huettl, 76, of Wabeno. She remains in a FoxValley hospital.
Arriving personnel found two vehicles in the ditch.
The investigation determined that Huettl’s pick-up truck, travelling east on Richmond St., disregarded a stop sign and struck the Jacobs’ car travelling north on Airport Dr.
The Shawano Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol Technical Reconstruction Unit continueto investigate the crash.
