MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The first case of Wuhan Coronavirus in Wisconsin has been confirmed by state health officials.
Health officials said Wednesday that the patient is isolated but state health officials would not say where they are located, their age or any other details.
The person who has the virus came into contact with someone else who had the virus while traveling in China, according to a press release. The person in Wisconsin is currently isolated at home and not under full quarantine, as the CDC doesn’t require such a quarantine for cases with mild symptoms.
Health officials said the risk of contracting coronavirus is “very low.”
