OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) — Oshkosh Police say the victim of a Sunday stabbing on Waugoo Avenue is a retired 32 year veteran of the Oshkosh Police Department.
67-year-old Jay Puestohl was fatally stabbed by a 28-year-old man just before 4:07 PM Sunday. The 28-year-old is in police custody and is said to have known Puestohl, but has yet to be identified.
Puestohl spent 32 years with the Oshkosh Police Department, retiring in 2008 as the Captain of the Investigative Services Bureau.
An autopsy was performed Monday.
A 63-year-old female was also injured in the incident.
