OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Oshkosh Corp. has announced a change in leadership.
Stephen D. Newlin was appointed chairman of the board at a meeting Tuesday. Newlin has been on the board of directors since 2013.
“We are pleased that Steve is stepping into the role as Oshkosh’s next Chairman, reflecting the depth of talent on Oshkosh’s Board as well as our commitment to ongoing succession planning,” Leslie F. Kenne, retiring Oshkosh Board member and Chair of the Governance Committee, said in a news release. “On behalf of the Board, we thank Craig for his service to Oshkosh as Chairman, his dedication to the Company as a continuing member of the Board and his commitment to supporting a smooth transition of responsibilities to Steve.”

Jones, Oshkosh Corporation President and Chief Executive Officer, said in a news release. “Under Craig’s leadership as our Chairman, we have successfully navigated challenging market conditions and delivered strong operational and financial results. I appreciate his perspectives and look forward to benefiting from his continued support as a director on our Board.”
Newlin is currently non-executive chairman of the board of Univar Solutions, a global distributor of chemicals and services. He is scheduled to remain in that role until May. Newlin has also served in executive positions at PolyOne Corporation; Ecolab, Inc.; and Nalco Chemical Company.
Newlin succeeds Craig P. Omtvedt, who will remain on Oshkosh’s board of directors.
TNT also says it plans to continue to expand its operations in Green Bay.
