GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Green Bay mayor Eric Genrich followed through on his bet with San Francisco’s mayor.
Since the Green Bay Packers lost to the 49ers in the NFC Championship game, Genrich had to wear scarlet and gold while volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Green Bay Tuesday, alongside the city’s police chief, Andrew Smith.
Genrich, a clear Packers fan, emphasized on the gold.
“Recognize that youth empowerment and youth development is a really important initiative in Green Bay and across the country including San Francisco, so it’s something that the mayor of San Francisco and I agreed on, an effort that we found really valuable and just recognizing all the great work that’s done here.”
The two wore specially made shirts for the occasion.
