In the Wisconsin Prep Hockey Coaches poll, Verona is No. 1 in the Division 1 poll with Notre Dame No. 2.
In the Division 2 poll, Fond du Lac Springs is No. 1.
But when we go to the USHSHO Power Ranking and STAK Ranking, we get a different story.
There Notre Dame is No. 1 in both. Hudson is second in the USHSHO while Verona is No. 2 in the STAK Ranking.
Fond du Lac Springs is fourth in both polls with Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha and Fond du Lac 10th and 11th, respectively, in the USHSHO Power Ranking. Fond du Lac is ninth in the STAK Ranking while Neenah/Hortonville/Menasha is 14th.
In the girls rankings, Central Wisconsin is first and the Fox Cities Stars fifth in the Wisconsin Prep Hockey coaches poll.
My Hockey Ranking has the Fox Cities Stars ranked first and the Bay Area Ice Bears ninth.
In the USHSHO poll, Central Wisconsin is first followed by the Warbird Alliance and Fox Cities Stars. The Bay Area Ice Bears are 10th.
Putting the puck in the net
The leading goal scorer in northeast Wisconsin on the girls side is Hattie Verstegen of the Warbirds with 21 goals. Emily Schafer of the Medford Raiders leads with 42 goals.
Schafer also leads in points with 57 (42 goals, 15 assists). Verstegen has 30 points (21 goals, nine assists).
Zehryn Jager of the Cap City Cougars and Kiya Bronston of the Onalaska Hilltoppers lead the state with 23 assists. Teagan Dickman of the Fox Cities Stars has 16.
On the boys side, Carter Stobb of Onalaska/La Crosse leads the state in goals scored with 25.
Fond du Lac's Caden Carlson and Fond du Lac Springs' Brady Welsch are tied for sixth with 22 goals.
The assist leader is Amery's Jackso Henningsgard and Mac Smith. The duo both have 31 assists. Welsch is fifth with 27. Welsch's teammate Noah Pickart is seventh with 23.
In total points, Welsch is the state's top scorer with 49 points. He is tied with Henningsgard.
