GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Red Cross needs blood, so they’re sweetening the deal in hopes of driving donations.
“Everyone who does donate blood and platelets will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for two tickets to the Super Bowl,” said the Red Cross’s Laura McGuire.
They’re also paying the lucky winner’s airfare, accommodations, and throwing in $500 spending money.
It’s a national promotion, and for a good cause.
“We at the Red Cross always want to have blood on the shelves for people who need it,” McGuire told WTAQ. “You never know when there’s going to be an emergency.”
The Red Cross is looking for all blood types, but there is currently a particular shortage of type O blood.
