GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Now that the Green Bay Packers are in the NFC Championship, some Green and Gold Diehards are looking to follow the team to San Francisco bay, where they’ll take on the 49ers.
Wisconsin’s Fox World Travel Agency is already helping send people off to that game.
“There are packages that include airfare, hotel stay, tailgate, and tickets,” spokeswoman Rose Gray told WTAQ. “I’ve seen packages starting at $4,000.”
Gray says that price can rise quickly when taking into account length of stay, premium seats, car rental, and hotel location.
The inquiries into travel packages started the moment the Packers beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-23 on Sunday. Gray says she expects to get a lot of inquiries from fans, but fewer bookings.
“They’re calling to get pricing, but they’re also trying to make a choice between whether they’re going to go to the NFC Championship game, or if they’ll save their money so that they can go to the Super Bowl in Miami,” Gray said.
Flights to San Francisco this coming weekend are filling up fast from both Green Bay Austin Straubel Airport and Milwaukee.
“On all major carriers, including Southwest, the space that I looked at between 5:30 am and 8:30 am has been substantially reduced,” said Gray.
Gray says you ought to be careful as always when purchasing tickets, and to only do so from reputable vendors.
