GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Hundreds of Packer fans gathered at the mouth of the Packers Heritage Trail in downtown Green Bay to get energized ahead of Sunday’s playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks.
The event saw speeches from Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich, Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach, and Packers President Mark Murphy. The Packers cheerleaders were on hand to perform.
The rally was put on by Downtown Green Bay, Inc. Kathryn Kroll is their marketing manager.
“I think these are definitely the good vibes the team needs going into the weekend,” Kroll told WTAQ. “We’re super excited to kick off playoff weekend here in downtown Green Bay!”
Downtown Green Bay has activities already scheduled for next week if the Packers can get it done against Seattle on Sunday.
Many of Green Bay’s local officials were on hand for the event as well, and several made predictions as to how Sunday’s game will turn out.
Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich: 24-17 Packers
Brown County Executive Troy Streckenbach: 27-21, but said the Packers will win no matter what the score.
