CALDWELL COUNTY, MO. (WTAQ-WLUK) – A preliminary hearing was postponed Thursday for the man accused of killing Nick and Justin Diemel.
Garland Nelson’s attorney asked for and was granted, the delay. The hearing is now set for Feb. 6, court records show.
Nelson faces 10 charges, including two of murder in the first degree, for the July 21 deaths of the Shawano County brothers.
Officials say the two were at Nelson’s cattle farm to collect $250,000 Nelson owed them. The complaint says Nelson killed the brothers, burned their bodies, and hid them in a manure pile.
