GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay Police are looking for a man they describe as a “violent meth user”.
James P. Johnson is wanted on multiple warrants in Brown County. In Green Bay, he’s wanted for Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Keeping a Drug House, and Possession of Stolen Property.
He’s led police on several high-speed pursuits.
“He’s a known burglar, and he steals to support his addiction,” says Green Bay Police Commander Kevin Warych. “He specifically steals Milwaukee power tools from big box retailers.”
It’s given him the nickname “the Milwaukee tool guy”.
Police say Johnson has the tendency to run and fight when confronted.
“When a person is under the influence of methamphetamine, they can become violent,” said Warych. “Not saying that he’s going to be violent but we want to make sure people can protect themselves in the event that Mr. Johnson is under the influence of narcotics.”
In a Facebook post, police said Johnson was recently residing in the 700 block of N. Clay with his girlfriend. Johnson has associates in the 1300 block of Bellevue Street and the 900 block of Alta Street (Howard), and frequents the Oneida Casino. It’s believed he and his associates are all involved in criminal activity.
