NEENAH, WI (WTAQ) – Neenah Police say a high-ranking New York education official was arrested in Milwaukee after he allegedly arranged to meet an underage child for sex.
The New York Post says Department of Education deputy chief of staff David Hay, 39, was arrested Sunday by Neenah investigators at General Mitchell International Airport.
Hay was booked into the Winnebago County Jail on a charge of using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime.
No formal charges have been filed against Hay yet.
Hay used to work as a principal in Kettle Moraine schools, as well as the district in Tomah.
The Post says Hay was immediately fired from his New York job after the arrest.
