GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — If you’re dreaming of a White Christmas, your dreams are going to be crushed.
“We could drop below that one inch here in Green Bay, and the definition of a White Christmas is an inch of snow on the ground on Christmas morning,” National Weather Service Meteorologist Rebecca Hykin told WTAQ.
She says a “Green Christmas” is not typical for the area.
“[White Christmas] occurs about 70-75% of the time in Green Bay and the Fox Valley,” Hykin said. “85-90% in the Wausau area, and over 90% of the time in the Rhinelander area.”
Above-freezing temps will persist throughout the holiday week. A high of 40 expected Monday. For Christmas Eve a high of 41, and for Christmas day a high of 38.
