APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – As its Christmas campaign hits the final stretch, the Salvation Army – Fox Cities is hoping to make up a lag in donations.
Salvation Army leaders in the Appleton area say donations to red kettles are down 17% compared to last year.
There are three remaining match days when people can have their donations doubled.
On Wednesday, Kimberly-Clark is matching up to $5,000 in donations made at red kettles.
Friday is the biggest match of the season when the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region says it will match up to $34,000 in donations.
Last-minute shoppers can also have last-minute donations doubled when We Energies matches up to $5,000 in donations made at red kettles on Christmas Eve.
