CHILTON, WI (WTAQ) – A Chilton man was sentenced for illegally manufacturing guns and gun parts for an Australian criminal and gun-enthusiast.
59-year old Andy Lloyd Huebschmann was sentenced to two years in federal prison.
Online court documents say Huebschmann sent rifle kits, which contained the component parts for rifles that could function with either semi-automatic or fully automatic triggers and 1911 firearm frames that could be assembled into completed pistols.
Huebschmann failed to obtain a required export license and shipped the guns in containers that were designed to hide the presence of firearms, prosecutors say.
Huebschmann must also pay a $15,000 fine and spend on year on supervised release following his prison sentence.
