GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – Good news for those that hate single-digit temperatures: they’re not expected to last long.
“This arctic chill isn’t going to last very long,” National Weather Service Meterologist Rick Mamrosh told WTAQ. “We’ll have one more cold evening tonight, and then tomorrow snow will move in.”
While your outdoor mercury thermometer been showing single digits, it’s felt significantly colder than that. Wind chill has made it feel like between 15 and 20 below zero in most of the region. In Rhinelander wind chill dropped to 35 below.
“We’ve got some arctic air that’s moved into the area, and then with the snow we have on the ground and clear skies last night, temperatures fell to around zero,” Mamrosh said.
That snow will come with some warmer temperatures. A high of 33 expected in Green Bay Thursday.
