OCONTO COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) – Despite snow-covered trails, all Oconto County snowmobile trails remain closed at this time.
The Oconto County Snowmobile Alliance President Dan Guendert says groomers will be out packing down the trails to build a base and while you may see club volunteers in trucks, ATV’s or snowmobiles working on the trails, it does not mean the trails are ready.
Once trails are ready, the announcement will appear on the official Oconto County Trail Report.
If you are caught riding down the trails while they are closed, you could face up to a $232 fine.
